Here’s something for our local football fans. This article is from Mingguan Malaysia, dated 9 April 1972. Perak and Selangor were set to meet at the Merdeka Stadium. Did anyone of you catch the game? Did you have a chance to meet your favourite footballers?

Those of you who remember them, did you cheer for the B Team? Or, perhaps someone reading this was one of the members of the B Team 😉 On that note, who was the gentleman in white (extreme left) – was he the Teacher-in-charge or maybe the team’s Coach?

Did any of you watch this game? Who were these two teams? Where was the match held? We suspect that (given the trees in the background) perhaps this was at the D R Seenivasagam Park…..but we could be wrong.
