And to answer your title question: No, Nestum was introduced long after my time — although I do recall that when it was new, it was sometimes used to make desserts for kids and adults! In fact I came to know of it as ‘kayang’ as that was how I too said it when buying those delicious ‘pau’ from the hawker as a kid in Pasir Puteh.
