The one on the left (from Ruth Iversen Rollitt) dates back to 1958; the one on the right (from SK) was taken recently. Related posts: ….they say the pretty girls come from Ipoh! In the older photo, the view of the building on the left (1 Brewster Road) brings back some memories. Perhaps I will write about it another time. ika February 20, 2019 at 10:59 am - Reply Please do Ipoh Remembered. felicia February 13, 2019 at 1:58 pm - Reply Thanks for your quick reply, Ipoh Remembered! sk February 13, 2019 at 2:46 pm - Reply Great Job, Felicia for bringing out these 2 comparison. Unlike Ruth’s 1958 picture, the vehicles were zooming around me when I took the shot in front of FMS Bar & Restaurant. I should have taken the shot of the Ipoh Padang & Behind me, the SMI Mosque. I am sure you would get a comparison pictures. A good reminiscence . In the early 70s, I was working on the opposite side of HSBC. seems the building has been demolished or has completely changed that I could not recognise it.
