Mars is still in production but Chicklets & Rowntrees are no longer available. Will appreciate if anybody can tell me where to find them locally, if not overseas. I remember the Chicklets chewing gum box, you can make a racket out of it & I discovered you need to have the 2 ears at the cover to make the racket. For one, the wrapper on the Bonbons never ever got stuck to the chewy soft and fruity lolly. Another victim just like a myriad of others that have fallen to ‘globalisation’ – screw the customers, fatten the shareholders! Perhaps it’s my age, the alcohol or nicotine that has tainted my palate but I feel sorry for the kids these days. They will never know the real taste of Cadbury, Pascall’s or Arnott’s. Or Milo, or Horlicks, or…I could go on and on… Liz May 9, 2016 at 3:55 am - Reply I remember chewy bonbons being wrapped in that type of wrapper, though the name Pascalls doesn’t ring any bells. I used to love biting into the sweets to get to the chewy centre. Leave A Comment Cancel reply Comment Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
