Many village houses certainly had a kerosene lamp or two. Besides, some households used kerosene cookers. The majority of stalls had pressurised kerosene burners as against LPG nowadays and were lit by equally pressurised kerosene lamps. sk March 1, 2017 at 2:17 pm - Reply Yes certainly familiar as we were using it in the 60’s for our Oven Stove & cooking stove. I remember the cooking stove has a bottle of Kerosene hanging upside down and there was a wick to absorb the kerosene thus maintaining the flame . If you need a higher flame, you turned up the wick. At that the Butterfly brand was very well known. Dont know if you can still buy it or used it in the Estates Leave A Comment Cancel reply Comment Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
